2024 Updates and Changes
Looking ahead to 2024, Minecraft has some exciting updates in store:
The Crafter: Automated Crafting
For the first time ever, automated crafting is coming to Minecraft. This feature will be particularly interesting for Redstone engineers, and a user-friendly interface will help newcomers understand its mechanics.
Combat Trial Chambers
Procedurally generated structures underground, the new combat trial chambers offer players unique challenges, including encounters with a new hostile mob.
Copper Bulb
Introducing new light-emitting blocks made from copper. These blocks can oxidize over time, be waxed, and scraped with an axe for different effects.
Trial Spawner
A new type of spawner that stops spawning additional mobs after reaching a specified target count. This spawner rewards players by ejecting loot.
The Breeze
The latest hostile mob to join Minecraft, the Breeze resides in the Combat Trial Chambers. It moves by jumping and attacks with wind energy projectiles that explode on impact, similar to Blazes’ fireballs. If it collides with a player or entity, it detonates immediately.
In addition to these exciting updates, Minecraft achieved a remarkable milestone this year, surpassing 300 million lifetime sales. This makes it the best-selling video game of all time.
