Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG Takes Players Back to the Origins of the Game

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG is set to launch in just a few hours, and it’s bringing players back to the origins of the game. With a throwback to the 2018 Chapter 1 map, players can expect to see familiar weapons, loot, vehicles, and more. While technically Season 5 of Fortnite Chapter 4, developer Epic Games is calling it Season OG to emphasize the nostalgic elements that harken back to the early days of Fortnite.

Throughout the season, each new update will introduce a different phase of Fortnite Chapter 1’s past. The first update will bring players back to Season 5, featuring iconic weapons like the Assault Rifle and Pump Shotgun, as well as vehicles like Shopping Carts. These throwback elements will be available in both Zero Build and regular Battle Royale Fortnite modes.

Season 5: The Return of Tilted, Greasy, and Risky

The first update will reintroduce popular locations from Season 2, including Tilted Towers, which will remain on the map until the Season 9 update. Alongside Tilted Towers, Epic has brought back All Terrain Karts, as well as various traps and weapons from the original Season 5. Players can expect the return of the Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, Hunting Rifles, Damage Trap, Grappler, Boogie Bomb, ATKs, and Shopping Carts.

Season 6: Darkness Rises in Loot Lake

The second update, launching on November 9, will introduce darkness to Loot Lake, reminiscent of Season 6. Players can look forward to using weapons like the Double Barrel Shotgun, Clinger, and Six Shooter. The update will also bring back vehicles like the Quadcrasher and Mounted Turret. However, some items like the Chiller Trap and Port-a-Fortress will only be available in regular Battle Royale Fortnite mode.

Seasons 7 and 8: Of Chill and Treasure

Starting on November 16, the third update will introduce a snow biome, Frosty Flights, and pirate camps, reminiscent of Seasons 7 and 8. Players can expect to use weapons like the Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, and Quad Launcher. Other items making a return include the Poison Dart Trap, Itemized Glider Redeploy, and Buried Treasure. The update will also introduce the X-4 Storming vehicle and the Pirate Cannon for launching teammates into the air.

Season 9 and X: Blast Off!

The final update, launching on November 23, will celebrate Seasons 9 and X of Fortnite Chapter 1. Players can look forward to using the Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, Junk Rift, Storm Flip, Jetpack, and The Baller. It’s an explosive end to the Season OG journey.

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG Battle Pass and Item Shop

Alongside the new season, players can purchase the OG Pass, which offers over 50 new in-game items. The OG Pass is available for 950 V-Bucks, and players can earn up to 1000 V-Bucks by progressing in the pass. Fortnite Crew Subscribers will receive the OG Pass as part of their subscription.

In the OG Item Shop, players can expect to find curated selections of classic, mashup, and new items. These items will only be available for a limited time, with new items appearing daily at 7 p.m. ET.

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG Ranked

With the start of a new season, ranks have been reset in Chapter 4: Season OG. Players only need to play one ranked match to have their rank revealed. Matchmaking in higher ranks may take longer, especially for players who were previously in lower ranks. However, Epic has made progression faster for players in the Bronze ranks to accommodate this.

In ranked matches, players will receive Ranked Urgent Quests. By completing these quests, players can unlock special in-game rewards. Completing just one Ranked Urgent Quest will unlock the Chapter 1-inspired Ranker’s Tags Back Bling, which displays the color of the highest rank achieved in the season.

Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG promises to be a nostalgic journey for players, bringing back beloved elements from the early days of the game. From iconic locations to classic weapons, this season is a celebration of Fortnite’s origins. Players can jump in and experience the nostalgia for themselves.
