Building Honkai Star Rail Jingliu: Utilizing Light Cone and Relics

Discover the Ultimate Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu Build for Unbeatable Power!

Unleash Jingliu’s Critical Hit Potential for Unparalleled Strength

The Honkai: Star Rail Jingliu build is guaranteed to make your team unstoppable in this RPG masterpiece. With her icy Destruction warrior skills and incredible critical hit potential, Jingliu stands as one of the game’s strongest characters to date. Unlike other Destruction characters, she won’t burn through your skill points, allowing for maximum efficiency in battle.

However, be cautious, as Jingliu’s powerful attacks can knock out the rest of your party. Ensure you have a skilled healer on hand for support.

Get to Know Honkai Star Rail Jingliu

Jingliu possesses a unique mechanic that enhances her skills and potential under specific circumstances. Her basic skill and ultimate ability grant her Syzygy, a resource required for her enhanced skill. As a standard DPS character, Jingliu’s build should focus on maximizing attack and critical hit attributes, granting you numerous Light Cone options besides her signature one.

Optimize Your Build with the Best Light Cone

Jingliu’s signature Light Cone offers significant critical damage boost and bonus effects.

For the best Light Cone, choose “I Shall Be My Own Sword,” Jingliu’s signature cone. This powerful Light Cone increases critical damage by 20% at the base level and provides additional bonuses when Jingliu’s HP drops. Losing HP from skills or enemy attacks grants her Eclipse stacks, up to three in total. Each stack increases attack by 14%, and once three stacks are reached, her next attack ignores at least 12% of the enemy’s defense.

Considering Jingliu’s talent occasionally reduces her HP, this effect offers an excellent attack bonus.

“On the Fall of an Aeon” is another solid choice, especially since you can acquire it at Herta’s store. This Light Cone raises attack by 8% every time an enemy is hit, stacking up to four times. When a weakness break is inflicted, a 12% damage boost is granted. However, keep in mind that this effect only triggers against enemies weak to ice.

Among the 4-star Light Cones, “The Moles Welcome You” aligns well with Jingliu’s abilities. Each attack adds a Mischievous stack, granting a 12% damage boost per stack.

“Under the Blue Sky” provides a direct 12% damage boost and buffs critical hit rate by 12% upon defeating an enemy.

If you are just starting the game and have limited light cones to choose from, “Mutual Demise” works nicely for Jingliu. It increases critical hit rate by 12% when her HP falls below 80%. Ensure she is not shielded to fully benefit from this effect.

Enhance Your Build with the Best Relics

Hunter of Glacial Forest Relic Set
The Hunter of Glacial Forest Relic Set is the top choice for Jingliu’s build.

To optimize Jingliu’s build, the Hunter of Glacial Forest Relic Set is the recommended option. This set boasts the following effects:

    • Two-piece effect: Increases ice damage by 10%
    • Four-piece effect: Increases critical damage by 25% after using the ultimate ability

Alternatively, some players choose to utilize the Genius of Brilliant Stars Relic Set. Its four-piece effect enables the wearer to ignore 10% of the enemy’s defense. Ultimately, the decision between the two sets depends on personal preference. However, the ice buffs and critical damage buffs from the Hunter of Glacial Forest set provide a dual advantage.

    Optimal Relic Stats for Jingliu

Given Jingliu’s offensive focus, the following stats are recommended for each Relic:

    • Body: Crit rate, crit damage, or attack
    • Feet: Attack
    • Sphere: Ice damage, attack
    • Rope: Attack, defense

These stats serve as excellent substats and can be acquired by grinding Relic Calyxes.

Master Jingliu’s Kit for Unrivaled Power

    Jingliu's abilities
Discover Jingliu’s unique abilities and the secrets to maximizing their potential.

Jingliu’s kit revolves around gaining Syzygy stacks and dealing devastating damage to enemies within a wide area. Her basic attack provides minimal damage, while her skill inflicts moderate ice damage to a single enemy and generates a Syzygy stack. Meanwhile, her ultimate ability deals 180% of Jingliu’s attack to a primary target and 90% of her attack to adjacent targets. It also grants one Syzygy stack.

Upon accumulating two stacks of Syzygy, Jingliu enters the Spectral Transmigration state, triggering several enhancements. She immediately performs another action, gaining a 40% critical hit rate buff. Additionally, her skill transforms into “Moon on Glacial River,” an enhanced version that hits harder and affects adjacent enemies. Notably, this enhanced skill consumes no skill points.

However, using this state absorbs HP from the entire party, equivalent to four percent of their total max HP. While it won’t knock out party members, it can put them at risk if their health is already low. The absorbed HP boosts Jingliu’s attack, potentially reaching up to 90% of her base attack stat for her next strike.

Mastery of Jingliu’s gameplay involves maintaining a rhythm of acquiring Syzygy stacks as frequently as possible, allowing her to unleash her full power before repeating the process. To maximize her potential, consider pairing Jingliu with supportive characters such as Bronya, Asta, or Tingyun to increase speed and replenish energy.

    Jingliu's technique: freezing field
Learn to utilize Jingliu’s technique, which freezes enemies and provides a Syzygy stack upon entering combat.

Jingliu’s technique, the freezing field, freezes enemies for one turn and grants her one Syzygy stack as soon as combat begins.

    Should You Pull for Jingliu?

While Honkai: Star Rail boasts numerous powerful characters, Jingliu truly shines as one of the game’s strongest ice characters. With limited options fitting this archetype, specifically Yanqing as the sole ice DPS character, Jingliu offers an easier setup. However, if you already have a formidable Destruction or powerful Hunt character, it may be wise to preserve your Jade for future endeavors.
