Getting the Best Reward in Phantom Liberty’s First Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077

The No Easy Way Out Mission in Cyberpunk 2077: Should You Side with Aaron or Angie?

In the latest addition to Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC, players can explore the new area of Dogtown. Soon after arriving, you’ll receive a phone call from your friend Coach Fred about a young boxer in need of your help. This guide will provide an overview of the mission and help you decide whether to side with Aaron or Angie in No Easy Way Out.

Warning: Spoilers for the No Easy Way Out mission below.

How to Begin the No Easy Way Out Mission

Aaron, a talented professional athlete, finds himself in trouble with the Animals gang. They have implanted a chip in his brain, forcing him to take falls in fights and manipulating the bets in their favor. To assist Aaron, you must accompany him through an enemy base to reach Ripperdoc Demir, the only person capable of removing the chip.

However, the situation becomes more complicated when Angie, the leader of the Animals in Dogtown, enters the picture. Angie reveals that Aaron was a former member of the gang, and she justifies rigging his fights by highlighting the value their investment in cyberware has added to his boxing skills.

With both parties having their flaws, you must choose which side to support.

Siding with Aaron or Angie: Pros and Cons

There are two main rewards for completing the No Easy Way Out mission, but you can only choose one:

    • Side with Angie and take her deal: By aligning with Angie, you will receive a reward of 22,000 credits from the rigged prize fight. However, it may take a few in-game days for the reward to be delivered.
    • Side with Aaron by refusing Angie’s deal: This path involves fighting Angie and her guards. Once defeated, you can loot her Iconic Power Pistol Cheetah. However, it’s important to note that siding with Aaron in this way will lead to his death.

If you have completed some early base game boss fights prior to starting Phantom Liberty, a third option may become available. This option allows you to intimidate Angie into leaving Aaron alone, resulting in the best in-story ending for Aaron. However, choosing this option means forfeiting the major rewards, leaving you with a base payout of 5,000 credits and 1,520 XP.

No Easy Way Out is an excellent side activity to undertake while waiting for Solomon Reed to contact you, which typically takes two in-game days. If you’re looking for a convenient break in Phantom Liberty’s main action, refer to our Lucretia My Reflection main job walkthrough.
