Along the way, you’ll discover valuable resources, solve puzzles, and face formidable enemies. Starting the Road to the Singularity Quest
The Road to the Singularity quest can be started as soon as you enter Fontaine, without the need for any Archon Quests. Begin by traveling to the Liffey region, known for its Lumitoile local specialty. Head to the north shore and follow the road until it forks to the right. Take the right fork and enter the cave. As you descend, you’ll hear a strange voice and encounter an even stranger character. Brace yourself for what lies ahead!
Prepare for Battle: Clockwork Meka
Throughout the quest, you’ll encounter several Clockwork Meka, formidable enemies that can pose a challenge. It’s advisable to bring a shielder or healer to aid you in battle. Alternatively, stock up on healing items and meals to restore health and boost your attack. Being well-prepared for combat will greatly increase your chances of success.
Operate the Energy Transfer Terminal
Once you reach the energy transfer terminal, it’s time to showcase your problem-solving skills. Interact with the terminal to change views and focus on different energy points. Look at the energy point above the sealed door, then direct your attention to the active battery below. Use the action button to absorb its energy. Next, shift your focus back to the other battery and activate it. Leave the energy transfer view and interact with the terminal to open the cage door. This process needs to be repeated to free the Traveler and proceed through the tunnel.
Shut Off All Valves
At the bottom of the vertical chamber, you’ll encounter a series of valves that need to be shut off. Interact with each valve until the steam is completely turned off. Place the portable energy device near the cage to open it and obtain the missing valve wheel. Once all the valves are shut off, a Clockwork Meka will appear. Gear up for a battle and defeat the Meka to progress further.
Find a Way to Open the Sealed Door
A new puzzle awaits! The goal here is to align the pistons attached to the clockwork gears. Activate the device to rotate and move the pistons. Begin by aligning the piston on the left, using it as a tester. Once it fits in the missing spot, focus on the right piston. Move the gear in place and rotate it until the right piston is horizontally aligned. Stop the gears, move them back, and repeat the process for the left piston. Finally, rotate the gears again, and the two pistons will slot into place, allowing you to proceed.
Continue Exploring
In the next chamber, you’ll face additional Clockwork Meka. Defeat them and then look for a gap in the edge of the golden floor. Drop down and discover another piston puzzle. Ensure your party is healed before interacting with the terminal near the locked door, as more Meka will attack once you activate it. Defeat all the enemies to open the door and proceed.
Talk to Kuisel and Defeat Coutrot
As the lift takes you to Kuisel, be prepared for a surprise. Kuisel will reveal his true name and attack alongside another Meka. Engage in battle, keeping in mind that the Meka moves quickly. Employ your combat skills, defeat them both, and successfully complete the quest. Don’t forget to collect the valuable Mysterious Ore before leaving this mysterious underground realm!
