Unveiling the Secrets: What is the Purpose of the Foggy Forest Branch?
The Foggy Forest Branch is a precious item that unlocks a rewarding quest with Pahsiv. However, to access this quest, you must first complete “The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes” quest. This exciting quest becomes available at Marcotte Station and can be initiated at any time, even if you haven’t started the Fontaine Archon quest yet.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 1: A Crystal Clear Path
Begin your quest at the Loch teleport waypoint, and head southwest towards the Lakelight Lily location. There, you’ll come across a wheel of Hydro lanterns and an inactive Hydrograna. Activate the Hydro crystal to set the lanterns in motion. Your goal is to stop them when two lanterns are in the water and emitting a mesmerizing glow. Stand patiently in the shallow water until the Hydrograna activates, creating a halo around you. Keep an eye out for a chest that appears, as it encases the coveted Foggy Forest Branch.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 2: Unleashing the Power of Water
For this location, make your way to the waypoint south of the weeping willow. Near this area, you’ll encounter a small pond. Open the clam to acquire the Ousia Block, which will allow you to activate the Pneuma pillar. Unlocking its potential will reveal a hidden chest containing another Foggy Forest Branch.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 3: Scaling New Heights
Before moving on to the next location, take a detour to the waypoint west of the Loch. Here, you can challenge yourself by climbing the rocks and collecting 10 Hydro particles as you glide downwards. Bear in mind that the last three particles are hidden at the bottom of a pond. Once you successfully complete this challenge, you’ll be rewarded with a chest containing a precious Foggy Forest Branch.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 4: Master of Perseverance
Prepare yourself for a more challenging location. Travel to the specified area and engage in combat with the Treasure Hoarders. Defeating them will reward you with one key. Your journey will then lead you to the top of the broken ship’s mast, where you’ll discover a bird’s nest containing the second key. Face the locked grate ahead and turn right to investigate the rubble of a smaller shipwreck, where you’ll find the last key. Use these keys to unlock a hidden door and claim the Hydroculus within. The chest that awaits you holds yet another Foggy Forest Branch.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 5: Harnessing the Elemental Forces
Continue your adventure by journeying north along the eastern coast. Along the way, you’ll come face to face with more Treasure Hoarders and stumble across a small pool of water encircled by a glowing circle. Position yourself behind the energy orb and ball octopus, and activate the orb. With careful aim, use your skills to hit the ball, ensuring it collides with the pool of water. The impact of the ball will shatter the rock beneath the surface. Plunge into the pool, find an underwater portal, and swim up into a shipwreck to claim your next chest, guarding a valuable Foggy Forest Branch.
Foggy Forest Branch Location 6: Conquer the Final Challenge
Prepare for the ultimate challenge in the pool located northwest of the previous location. Use another octopus ball to clear the sludge obstructing your path, but beware—the timing is even more critical. Strive to aim the ball so that it lands between the two sludge creatures. Once the ball detonates, dive into the pool, enter the portal, and retrieve the final chest guarding the Foggy Forest Branch.
Your Journey’s Reward: Handing Over Your Discoveries to Pahsiv
