The developers shared this impressive achievement on Thanksgiving and expressed their gratitude to the fans for their support in following the adventures of Max and Chloe in the time-twisting world of Arcadia Bay.

“Something we are very grateful for – the original Life is Strange has hit over 20 million players!” Dontnod exclaimed in a tweet. “We want to thank each and every one of you for playing!”

This significant player count is undoubtedly attributed to various factors, including the first episode being made permanently free in 2016, the game’s availability across different game subscription services, and the release of a remastered version last year.

Life is Strange did not stop at the original game alone.
