Possible Huge Buff Teased in Future Patch with New Cypher Interaction on VALORANT Test Servers

VALORANT’s Cypher Trapwire Bug: Buff or Glitch?

The latest VALORANT influencer event has brought attention to the game’s newest duelist, Iso. However, another existing agent, Cypher, is also gaining more recognition, particularly among sentinel players looking to diversify their agent pool.

Cypher players on the VALORANT test servers have discovered a bug with their Trapwires. Normally, when a player triggers a Trapwire, it disappears. But on the test servers, the Trapwire remains in place after activation. It damages the affected target, pauses, and then reactivates in the same spot.

The only way to remove the Trapwire is by shooting it, which gives Cypher a significant advantage. Previously, agents like Yoru, Skye, Raze, and Fade could use their abilities to disable the Trapwire while their team proceeded onto the site. Now, players must expose themselves to eliminate the wire, allowing Cypher and his team to quickly trade kills.

It is unclear whether this change is intentional or unintentional. If unintentional, it may be reverted to its original state, without any changes made. However, if it is intentional, we can expect more players to choose Cypher as they climb the leaderboards.

In the meantime, the VALORANT community is still captivated by the presence of Iso. This unique agent has been generating highlight plays worldwide with his new ultimate ability, which forces enemies into a 1v1 showdown, establishing his place in the solo queue and competitive meta.
