Rockstar Officially Unveils First Trailer for GTA 6 Early Due to a Leak

GTA VI Official Trailer Revealed: Release Date and Details Confirmed

IGN’s Twenty Questions – Guess the game!

Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the highly anticipated trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, just moments after it leaked on social media. The trailer confirms that the game is set to release in 2025 and retains the title “Grand Theft Auto VI” for now, without revealing a specific launch date.

The trailer introduces the game’s first-ever female protagonist named Lucia, who begins her journey inside a prison. As expected, the game is set in Vice City, and viewers catch glimpses of TikToks and live-streams, suggesting that social media will play a significant role in the gameplay experience.

Accompanied by Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” soundtrack, the trailer showcases various car-related crimes and surprises players with the appearance of alligators in unexpected locations, staying true to the Florida setting. The video also provides a glimpse of Lucia’s relationship with a male character, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and solidarity.

Rockstar initially stated that the trailer would be released in early December, but due to the leak, the official announcement came earlier than expected. GTA fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of GTA VI since the release of GTA V in 2013, which IGN hailed as a “masterpiece.” The first mentions of GTA 6 emerged in 2020, with reports suggesting that development was well underway.

Unfortunately, Rockstar faced challenges last year when development footage of GTA 6 was leaked in a significant data breach. However, the publisher, Take-Two Interactive, indicated massive financial gains in the coming months, teasing the launch of a highly profitable series.
