The NBA is Airing an Abundance of Games This Season in VR on the Quest Platform

NBA Expands Immersive Gaming Experience for Quest Headsets

The NBA League Pass is set to offer an enhanced virtual reality (VR) experience for basketball fans with the expansion of its immersive gaming content for Quest headsets. By subscribing to the NBA League Pass, users will have access to a wide range of 180-degree immersive games through the Xtadium app and Meta Horizon Worlds. However, it’s important to note that the Xtadium app and NBA League Pass VR games are currently only available in the United States.

    Two Apps, Two Unique Experiences

The Xtadium app, already available for users, offers various exciting features such as ‘Watch Party’, enabling users to invite friends and watch games together as avatars in private party rooms. It also allows users to watch games on-demand, simultaneously view up to eight games in 2D, and even experience mixed reality mode.

On the other hand, Meta Horizon Worlds offers an immersive NBA Arena experience. Users can enjoy interactive games such as Slam Dunk Jam and Basket Blitz. Additionally, users have the opportunity to personalize their experience by unlocking stickers, emotes, exclusive avatar wearables, and gain access to the VIP Lounge by attending immersive games or playing mini-games within the NBA Arena. Furthermore, users can purchase NBA or WNBA team apparel for their avatars, which can be worn not only in VR but also on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
