Mortal Kombat 1’s Seasonal Fatality Bundle: Price and Release Date Confirmed

Warner Bros. Games Sets the Price and Release Date for Mortal Kombat 1’s Seasonal Fatality Bundle

Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Mortal Kombat 1’s monetized Fatalities, Warner Bros. Games has finally confirmed the price and release date for its highly anticipated Seasonal Fatality Bundle. This special bundle will feature unique Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter Fatalities that fans have been eagerly waiting for.

The Seasonal Fatality Bundle will be available for purchase on November 17 at the cost of 1,200 Dragon Krystals, which is Mortal Kombat 1’s premium in-game currency. To acquire the necessary Dragon Krystals, players will need to buy packs of 1,250 or more, making the total cost of the bundle equivalent to about $9.99.

A Sneak Peek of the Thanksgiving Fatality

One of the Fatalities included in the Seasonal Fatality Bundle is the Thanksgiving Fatality. This gory and shocking Fatality was recently uncovered by a dataminer and has caused quite a stir among fans. You can see a glimpse of it in the tweet below, but be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

The Price Debate: Cheaper Than Expected

Speculation among Mortal Kombat 1 fans had suggested that the Seasonal Fatality Bundle could cost as much as $30. However, Warner Bros. Games has surprised players by announcing a much lower price. The $9.99 price tag is significantly more affordable than anticipated, especially considering that the standalone Halloween Fatality alone was priced at 1,200 Dragon Krystals. To rectify any disappointment, the company has even offered players who purchased the $10 Halloween Fatality free access to the full seasonal bundle.

    Comparing the Cost: Omni-Man DLC

Despite the adjusted price, it’s worth noting that the Seasonal Fatality Bundle is still more expensive than the popular DLC character Omni-Man, who costs $7.99. In addition to being cost-effective, Omni-Man also comes with two unique Fatalities of his own, making him a strong contender in terms of value for money.

Mortal Kombat 1 Faces Controversies and Challenges

Mortal Kombat 1 has faced various controversies and challenges since its launch. The introduction of premium Fatalities, a first in the series, has divided fans and sparked heated debates. The poorly-reviewed Switch port, numerous bugs, and other issues have also negatively impacted the game’s reputation.

While Mortal Kombat 1 has sold over 3 million units since its September release, sales in Europe appear to be diminishing compared to its predecessor, Mortal Kombat 11. Despite these setbacks, the game has received praise for its new Kameo system, improved fighting mechanics, and exceptional single-player story mode. It remains a highly regarded entry in the legendary Mortal Kombat series.
